1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register directly, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique Google account identifier instead -- we never see or store your Google password.
Profile information (optional)
You may choose to add your date of birth and gender in your account settings. These fields are optional and only used to personalize your experience; leaving them blank never limits access to any assessment.
Assessment data
When you take an Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Intelligence, or Adaptability Quotient test, we record your responses, timing data where relevant to scoring, and the resulting scores, bands, and percentiles that make up your report.
Payment information
When you unlock a paid report, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiry date, or CVC. We only receive confirmation from Stripe that a specific payment was completed, which we use to unlock the matching report.
Technical information
We automatically log your IP address and basic request information for security purposes -- specifically, to rate-limit repeated login, registration, and password-reset attempts and to help resolve technical issues.
Information you send us directly
If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide, solely to respond to you.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account, and let you sign in.
- To score your assessments and generate your personal reports.
- To process payments and confirm which reports you've unlocked.
- To respond to support requests sent through our contact form.
- To protect the platform against abuse, such as automated sign-up or login attempts.
- To remember tests you've saved as favorites, if you use that feature.
We do not use your assessment results for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account and assessment data for as long as your account remains active, so your reports stay available to you. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep limited records (for example, payment records) to meet legal or accounting obligations.
6. Your Rights & Choices
From your account's Profile tab, you can view and update your name, email, date of birth, and gender at any time, and change your password. To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or close your account and delete your data, contact us and we'll act on your request within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Data Security
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing, never in plain text. Payment card details never touch our servers at all -- they go directly to Stripe. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, though no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
Vitaedux is intended for users aged [13/16/18 -- confirm the correct minimum age for your markets] and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
9. International Data Transfers
Vitaedux and the third-party processors we rely on (Stripe, Google) may process data in countries other than your own. Where this happens, these providers maintain their own safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the platform evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
11. Contact Us
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through our contact page, or by writing to contact@vitaedux.com].
